At some time in our personal character development we learned that it takes time to build good habits. Various websites said that it can take anywhere from 18 to 254 days to build a good habit whereas we know that falling into a bad habit doesn’t require building anything because we FALL into bad habit.
Developing good habits requires an active thoughtful process while falling into a bad habit is a passive action requiring nothing. Develop good habits or fall into bad ones. One of the keys to successfully building good habits is to identify the goal you want to achieve and then develop a plan to reach that goal.
It is obvious to me that the Democratic and Republican parties fell into the same bad habit. Both parties have failed to represent America because they fell into the habit of believing that they lead us and not represent us.
They will not put forth a comprehensive immigration bill. And to say that they spend money like drunken sailors is to disparage drunken sailors. Look at what they did with this last “Omnibus” Budget bill. A $1.7 TRILLION dollar spending bill that they had three days to read before voting on it. NO ONE had time to read through the bill and understand the numbers or the ramifications of the bill on the many government departments. They failed to listen to their real constituents. That isn’t leading. It’s the blind following the blind and deaf.
What they have become really good at is finding campaign donors. That’s their top priority. Get elected again. They’ve become obedient pawns of the military pharmaceutical/big media industrial complexes. I can guarantee you they will never find enough votes to pass a term-limit amendment. So, we, The People, must do it through a Convention of the States! So please go to Convention of the States and become part of the movement re-establish some good habits for our elected representatives.
