HHS Secretary Salazar on 11 January 2023 extended the Covid Emergency decree in the United States. This despite the overwhelming medical evidence and public sentiment that the “epidemic” was over. In fact, President Biden’s administration said so in late 2022. Why would the administration make a declaration stating an obvious and demonstrably absurd statement?
Now, three years into Covid not much has changed about their messaging. And too many Americans have decided that being ignorant and following the instructions of egotistical entrenched politicians, big pharma and social media was proper rather than to educate themselves.
So, the government coersion and expansion into our lives continues. Americans continue to pursue personal convenience over education. They continue to do the easy thing and be told what to think by influencers on Tic-Tok and other media. Americans whine and complain that they don’t have enough time or that they lack the education to understand the science. The truth is that too many Americans decided to “go along to get along.” They made a decision to trust and don’t verify even when the information is readily available. Some Americans are giving lemmings a run for their money.
I went back and read one of my notes to myself that I make extemporaneously. The note below was written in April of 2020. If you recall that time in our history, schools were still closed, people were advised to wear masks and avoid going to the hospital to say goodbye to loved ones who were dying. Small businesses were locked out and a death count appeared every night on media sites.
My Thoughts on CoVid 19 Crisis in America - April 2020
It is discouraging to read how polarized Americans have become over the epidemic that we had such little knowledge about just two months ago. And instead of investigating news story sources themselves, they willingly believe whatever their media of choice tells them.
Many either don’t remember the lessons of the past or were never exposed to those lessons. See Nazi Germany, Mao’s Cultural Revolution, Chavez and Maduro Governments of Venezuela, Castro’s Cuba, French Revolution, Propaganda of the Slave owners and the Abolitionists leading up to U.S. Civil War, and many other examples. Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.
This lack of knowledge or the reluctance to learn leads directly to choosing sides rather than a frank discussion of the facts. Both sides trot out their leading voices extolling the masses to follow. The Media amplifies it - MSNBC, CNN, NY Times, WAPO ad nauseam for Social Progressives . FoxNews, The Blaze, and a few others for the Conservatives. Both sides lob epithets at each other without trying to understand what the other “side” is saying or why they are saying it. Very sad. Very destructive. Very “un-American.”
Our Constitution is the only document crafted as a basis for governing that has a Bill of Rights. It is the only document that limits the powers of government by defining what those government powers are. And yet, so many naturally born U.S. citizens have less knowledge of it than immigrants who must take a test that includes information about that document that native born Americans know so little about. Very sad. Very destructive.
If the public elementary and secondary schools do not reinstitute CIVICS and U.S. History without the revisionists theories introduced by Presentist historians like Jon Meacham) we will continue to slide towards a one solution fits all view of America (Sanders) where elite educated masters impose their wills upon the people without respecting the majority and protecting the minority. Very sad. Very destructive.
When will Americans start educating themselves and stop relying on arrogant powerful entities intent on controlling them? If not now, enjoy being servants of the super rich.
The old Republic is long gone, and old school "civics" classes won't help. The system has evolved to an entirely different form over the past century, and it is this "new order" which needs to be studied.
The current system is "liberal-fascism": rule by a corporatist oligarchy, behind a false front of liberal democracy. It is managed via the CFR/UN/WEF network of banks, corporations, foundations, captured govt agencies, NGOs and the media.
This network has dominated US policy since WW2. Most of the CIA directors from Allen Dulles to William Burns have been CFR members. Likewise for the Fed chairmen and the secretaries of State, Treasury, and Defense.
The top finance, energy, defense, pharma and media corporations are CFR sponsors, and many of their execs are members. Larry Fink (BlackRock) is a CFR director and David Rubenstein (Carlyle) is the CFR chairman. They are also WEF trustees.
CFR members on the "Biden team" include the secretaries of State, Treasury, Defense, Commerce and Homeland Security. Also the CIA director, Fed chairman, the secretaries of the Army, Navy and Air Force, and dozens of deputies, advisors, etc.
Allen Dulles, who ran the CIA "Operation Mockingbird", was a CFR director for 40 years. Media barons Paley (CBS), Sarnoff (NBC), Luce (Time-Life), Meyer/Graham (WaPo), and Sulzberger (NYTimes) were CFR members. Same stuff, different decade.
